first grow ever bagseed am i doing it right. PICTURES
Hello all,
this is my first grow ever.
i have been saving the seeds from my best bags and i have started a grow in my closet in a rubermaid tub.
the plants are about 6 days old.
i am using 2 spiral flourcent lights (i dont know what there called) one is a 60 watt one is a 25 watt and and there are 2 longer bulb flourecents wich are 15 watts.
i have a thermometer and a humidity meter
75 degrees f
around 25-30% humidity
i water every 2-3 days but i mist everytime the soil on top looks dry
i have a 12" fan on allways, on high
i recently bought orchid food and am thinking about using it in the near future. i felt it was better than using my piss.
and im thinking about turning it to 12/12 soon.
this is my first grow dont really know anything but what i have read on these forums ( wich is alot) im hoping that whith your advice I can have a successful plant
i will appriciate any advice thanks :rasta:
here are some pics click to enlarge
the first is of a 12" pot with the two healthiest seedlings and they are divided with a piece of cardboard so the roots dont get tangled. the soil if organic seed starter with a 65/35 mix of perlite and soil.

Get some Fish emulsion you will have a healthier plant in veg. You really can't burn a plant with that stuff.
12/12 light cycle is for flowering! You have months to go for that.
Good luck for at least 1 girl there.
Oh and be careful with all that misting. You can cause damping off and that will kill those babies. Seedlings that young should be watered from the bottom.

thanks for the advice Pam where would i get fish emulsions and i was going to start flowereing now becasue i have to move out of my appartment by the end of may so i want them to be flowered by then. I have no way of watering from the bottom. the reason i mist is because im afraid to overwater so i only fully water every 2-3 days i just mist to keep the soil moist.
thanks for the post

DON"T use the orcid mix, probably say's someware one the lable not to use with edible crops. Stay with the fish emultion, if you dont have the money get a job.
Bat Guano is cool too. you will need more light though about seven of those 25w fer sq. foot for optimum budding but that is months away and you can add as you go.
Fan...very smart. If you can add a fan blowing out, as in exaust for the heat rising from the lights ( I use twelve volt computer fans, dupster divers with jobs unite),

In my opinion you need some more seeds as your running the risk of getting no workable females from just 3 plants.
Good luckYes, I spend too much time reading Growing Edge haha so sue me - StinkyAttic

ya I know that my chances arn't high for getting a female but i wanted to try it out before i use my other seeds. ( I have about 200)
even if there males i just wanted to see if i can get the plant to grow full maturity.
i will go get some fish emulsions this week
should i use them right away?
and i checked my plants this morning and there are some white spots on one of the plants leaves.
can some one please tell me what that is.

Wouldn't it be sweet if you could start flowering straight from a seedling... and always have it be female... and it always gave you the stanky.... :stoned:
Anyway, I've been reading a lot lately and I know that some white spots could be spider mite eggs? Maybe? If you are trying to show the spots in that picture it is impossible to see clear enough imo.
And now I see that you moved out of your apartment at the end of May, which is now... and you have probably figured out the white spots.... btw... did it flower?
