to harvest or not. that is the question.

R my plants ready to harvest. they R both 6 weeks and 3 days of flowering.

and all the fan leafs have fallen off the sativa. the buds still look ok but a few of the triched leafs R starting to die also.

the indica looks the best of the 2 plants.

the pix R of both of them. a few bud shots and a few micro trich shots and a shot of the whole garden.

If the majority of the trichs are cloudy with maybe 10%-15% amber, that is when I'd harvest. Harvest a little earlier for more of a head high, or a bit later for a more narcotic (sedating) effect. If you haven't done so yet, be sure to flush with plain water a couple of times preferably a week or two before harvest. This helps to wash away excess ferts from the roots which can give the buds a sharp unpleasant taste.

Do you have a magnifying glass? The trichromes hold the answers.

Dude ,do a little research before posting silly newb questions. Obviously your plant is not fully mature at 6 weeks and 3 days which is 45 days. And 45 days is the quickest for the most fastest maturing strains.... and yours is obviously sativa dominant, which def. has longer flowering periods. You have a couple weeks anyway, and cannabis plants pack on the most weight in the last couple weeks,so be patient or youll lose out on yield ,have a good day newb.

I'm gessing you're not from around these parts, 'eh?

Without knowing his set-up, his nutes and additives, the intensity of the bulbs, length of veg, the obstacles that were overcome...you chose to slam the man's question.

A smart assed answer is easy for wanna-bees.
Since you are so well versed in cannabis horticulture, I would really love to see what you've done. Please back this sophmoric display with pictures of any of your sucessful grows. Would love to see the experience you so rudely exude. And doing so in your own growlog would suffice, as this is Hydro's thread.

Sorry Hydro, my moron meter was pegged.

All depends on what you expect out of the grow. Wanna wait for more bulk and rusty trichomes, give 'em a couple more weeks. If ya need the growspace for the next crop, need the buds now, or like the lighter buzz, clip 'em soon. Don't forget to check the trichomes from a couple of different spots on each plant. (they usually don't mature evenly)

    Hydro,
Maybe you can get an idea of how your trics look compared to these...

Its your call on when to chop them...You are the boss..and its too your liking that determines when to do so...

    Hope the pics help..

    Peace,

ok so the sativa had to be cut cus it was dieing. and super cuz I wanted to grow her to 12 or 13 weeks of flowering.

and the indy plant is still going strong and she is gunna get the chop in 1-2 more weeks. as long as she stays alive.

and her buds feel R rock hard.
and she is 7 weeks and 3 days flowering. Im gunna watch her very closely to make sure she don't die or start to die.

and here R a few pix of the indy buds. and also I was thinking of re-veging the indy plant.maybe.

well I do have a clone of her but it ain't lookin so good.

and here is a pic of the sativa buds drying.

and I think I saw a few purple trichies here and there on the indy buds.
I had looked through my mag glass to see this.

well take care and enjoy the bud/trich porn pix.
