    changing screens in vapor bros

You can put off the inevitable by running a flame through the screen now and then. I remove the tubing and use it like a chillum. Suck VERY gently, though- the smoke is HOT. If your lungs are sensitive, get a friend to do it- he'll really get his head!

As to when, remove the plastic tube and check if you can see through the screen. If not, try flaming it a few times. Usually that will clear it up, but eventually the screen is just too crudded up and has to be changed.

Make sure you have the right sized screen! Talk about frustration! I finally ended up using wire cutters to trim one down! I use a bamboo skewer to put them in. It's a hassle, no matter how you do it! I try to foist the job off on the hubby- last time I traded him a load of dishwashing to do it. (I hate washing dishes, but it was worth it!)- Granny:hippy:

    changing screens in vapor bros

Storm Crow's on the money. Its a pain in the ass to change the screen. Vaping is all about getting the most airflow through your bud with your bud having the most surface area possible. When the screen gets clogged, you're losing efficiency. I used to use one of of those long neck butane lighters to clear out the screen. I also used a bamboo skewer to install the new screen.

Easiest way for me was to remove the tube, put a stick of chapstick into the backend of the bowl and then use a bamboo skewer to work the new screen down the mouth of the bowl and then use another stick of chapstick to push the screen flat and into place.

If I were you I'd get an SSV wand/bowl. It's $16, has a little color in it, fits the VB (and others), and screen changing is a snap. I've struggled with screen changing myself, and the SSV wand is really easy to deal with. They even have a little video on their site, showing how it's done. One warning though-since all their glass is hand made, you can get a wand that's a hair too wide and the screen ends up being a little loose. but if you get one where the screen isn't tight when it's seated, they'll exchange it for you and probably refund your shipping too. There are some two piece whips available too, but you'll need to make sure they fit the VB, and screwing and unscrewing a whip with every bowl is a big pain. The two piece jobs are expensive too. The SSV bowl is an outstanding deal for $16.
