...if you're really desperate you can heat it up, roll it into a ball and smoke it. Ive never done it, seems gross.

You can gather all of your finest scraping tools, go to town on that thing until you have a glob of crap... then smoke it. The same way that some THC can attach itself to particles in bong water (which is why distilled water is the way to go), it can attach itself to debris inside your pipe. Also, if you use a grinder, the smallest of the ground up bud can fall through the hole in the bottom... and then that becomes yet another piece of debris for THC to attach to. Anyone that says you don't get high off of resin is either not smoking it right, smokes dirt through the pipe, or you haven't collected enough. The effects do not last as long, but if you get to choking off of a huge resin glob... you can see stars. And if for some reason, I am the only person on Earth that believes this, at least by you trying... you are wasting time until the weed fairy can drop a fat nug on your lap. :thumbsup:

I've gotten totally ripped from the nasty goop that accumulates inside my glass pipes, so it's not worthless... it's just not the cleanest, or best tasting, substance in the world. But if you've run into a dry spell and are desperate enough to smoke it, it'll do the trick. I generally take some toothpicks and a few paperclips bent just right to scrape the nastiness out of the pipe. Then I take a rolling paper, line it with the nasty goodness I end up with, roll the paper in a ball and smoke it. I'd recommend not doing it any more than is necessary, because it can't be good for the lungs... but in a pinch, it works.

I've gotten high smoking balls of resin scraped from inside of pipes. It's nasty, stinky, bad-tasting glop, and it is probably coating your lungs with thick layers of tar so they look like a newly paved street, but it will get you high.

heck yes it is!:thumbsup: I agree, I have smoked myself up pretty good on that "tasty" goo, but only on desperate occasions. Even if it wasn't totally as bad for you, I still couldn't all the time from the taste...

If I get really really low I'll bust out the keif stash and start layering my bowls...seems to make them go a lot slower since you're more cautious not to roast the whole top- AND i'll just say there have been some nights I don't fully recall :jointsmile:

LOL! I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this too much, because you're essentially just smoking gooey bubbling tar - which I'm sure coats the lungs about as good as it coats the teeth - but nevertheless, it still has a kick to it. Take the screens out of your pipes and you'll end up with even more of this mystery gunk over time. A buddy of mine had a wad of it about the size of a golf ball. I helped him gunk his pipes up, so he offered to smoke the goo ball with me, but I just let him have it... ALL of it... my lungs never would have forgave me.

There used to be these pipes designed so that they had a chamber between the bowl and the mouthpiece end. Some were wooden and had a little door you could slide open and others had a stem that screwed apart to reveal a big chamber inside the stem. People used to put a few buds in there to act a a kind of "filter," but the real reason seemed to be to get a bud totally covered in toxic layers of goop. The when you were out you could pull out the stinky, resinous, glop-soaked bud and smoke that. It alwasy did the trick. I don't thnk anyone uses those anymore.

In a vaporizer, the gloppy bud idea might be interesting. In an unfiltered pipe, maybe not so much. Although, I still really enjoy a method I heard of from Soma - taking a freshly rolled joint, and rubbing it all over a really frosty cola. Light that sucker up and smoke it, you'll quickly forgive yourself for flattening a few of your precious trichomes. :jointsmile:
