Growing in tropics
Hello -
Im growing some plants outsinde in Maui. Great climate here. Take a look at this picture. The seed from the plant was from some herbs grown from a clone outisde on the north shore of maui. I do not know the variety but it looks like indica.
I topped this plant twice during the veg state to stay strong against the many snails in the area.
Now there are so many leaves. I already did a big leave cut but they came back. This plant is two months old and is flowering - the buds are quite small. I am looking to get a early May harvest.
SHOULD I CUT THE LEAVES OR LEVAVE THEM?

thanks man,
I notice pictures of big buds on plants with no leaves.
At what point in the buds development should the leaves be cut? What about the lower leaves for Toped or Fimed plants?

Leave all leaves on the plant until they die and fall off naturally. They will do this around half-way through flowering, starting with older, larger leaves first. This is a sign of the plant using all available elements to build it's buds. NOTE: DO NOT FEED WITH ADDITIONAL NUTES IF THIS OCCURS, THIS PROCESS IS NATURAL AND BENEFICIAL TO THE FINAL SMOKE.
The pictures you are talking about are taken right at harvest, during the manicuring process, in order to show the "rough" (wet) size of the buds, after the leaves have been removed.
Edit: and does anybody know what those plants are called surrounding the marijuana? With the purple flower. That stuff is all over the beaches of Cali, and I've always wanted to know the name of it.

thanks
The seeds were popped exactly two months ago. They started flowering before the time cycle changed. Does this look like a May harvest?

Nice grow.
I agree, keep the leaves!
About the haevest; I can't see any flowers in the pics, but if they are starting to flower I would say late May to early June should be about right.
On a side note......
Man, I wish I were in Maui right now! You lucky Bas***d!
