California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative 2008

Legalizing commercial hemp. Job creation, tax income for the state, I myself personaly could create a few jobs as well as providing for myself. Hmmm.

Yes, it makes no sense that we have to import hemp from Canada. We should be growing it right here in the US. I would consider growing some myself if its profitable.

Here is the link to the full text of the Jack Herer's authored inititative where it discusses the $10/oz excise tax on non-medical cannabis products and other details. I like this, but I don't live out there so I really don't have a clue if it could actually win the vote. I guess they have been trying to get this on the ballot for years now (I was just looking at the dogpile search) so I'm guessing they'll be trying it again in 2010. If I still lived in California I would sign the petition and vote for it. :greenthumb:
