What's the odds of this passing? Sounds like paradise for pot lovers, Geeze, I might even consider moving back. The good news is that what happens in Ca., Usually takes about 5 years to migrate to So. Nevada. So maybe in 5-10 years, we'll have that also, yeah right! Mr. Green

i wonder if you can get odds in Vegas on state initiatives?? :smokin: i bet you can. imp: i was born in Cal, but haven't lived there for a while so i could really say. pretty f'in bold, tho, hu? i would speculate, tho, that if eneough people sign the petition and get it on the ballots, Californians will have all the federallies so far up their arse come Oct/Nov that they will be smelling BrillCream . . . , it is illegal for federal officials to meddle in State Elections but . .

but, seriously, I think this is a genious move if they can get it passed. i am temped to move back just so i can sign the petition and get a chance to vote on it. Best of luck with this, California. and yes, what happens in Cali, generally also eventually rolls to my State, too . . . after many, many, many years.

A few years ago, those that were canvassing for signatures to get the cannabis initiative on the ballot, had forgotten the deadline, and had to go to a judge to try and get 6000 late signatures accepted.

"Marijuana Advocates Forget to File for Ballot -

LAS VEGAS 2004 (AP) â?? An initiative to legalize pot in Nevada might go up in smoke after organizers forgot to file 6,000 petition signatures by a June 15 deadline.

Clark County Registrar Larry Lomax said Billy Rogers, president of the political consulting firm seeking to qualify the petition, is pleading for him to accept the 6,000 names...."
