CFL grow real?

A friend at the local hydro store was telling me about cabinet systems using 6000 K (Daylight) 6 CFL = 900 watt total output. Is this even a viable way to provide what a plant neeed.Or is the salesman "just doing his job"?

its real bro.

I run 2- 24" T5 CFL's natural day light. all in a home box xs. with the red lights which i bought seperate, it puts it in bloom and goes the whole way. only problem is the buds don't get as tight as they do with a 400 watt.

both of my grows were with CFLs the one i am doing now is they work just fine and hey dont pull alot of energy the hps is better but hey
