I got the qf this morning at a local shop came home this afternoon cracked heat pad at 1:20 @ 1:50 nuked sub for 10 seconds temp at 100 degrees put pad on and put the sub in my tighty whiteys and headed to my employer @ 2:20 got form checked temp @ 98 degrees headed to lab got to lab at 2:40 temp still @ 98 degrees waited 25 minutes in waiting room @ 3:05 dropped sub in her cup temp on her cup was 97 degrees she checked temp split sample had Rating: 5

Great info on this thread btw- thanks to all. Pre-employment screening for THC is simply ridiculous, so the knowledge shared is great.

Quick question on QF- should the heating pad be left on it the entire time? Is there a risk of the heating pad increasing the temp to over 100 if it started at say 98? Or is the pad that comes with QF designed to not elevate the temp that high and just maintain it at what it started at?
I'm asking b/c I practiced using a hand warmer and the temp started about 96 and actually increased to over 100 after about an hour.

I just crack a heat pad about 30 minutes prior to puting it on the bottle so that the heat pad is fully warmed up then nuke the sub for about 10 seconds that should bring the sub temp around or a little over 100 degrees then put the heat pad on the bottle opposite side of temp strip and leave it there till testing and it should mantain a temp around 98 to 100 u will be fine even if it is a little to hot when it hits the cup you could blow on it a little and it will quickly go down its better to be a little to warm thn to cold because you can cool it enough in the bathroom you can't heat it up in the bathroom. If your time frame is going to be similar to mine for taking the test you will be fine even if it takes you a little longer hope this helps good luck
