    Moving lights????

    Question:

Are there any opinions here about light movement (not light movers), and it's effect of growth rate/vigor of MJ? My lightweight 400 HPS w/batwing hood swings around as a result of the circulating fan I keep on my girls during daytime 12/12. Its a must where I grow to control temp and humidity.

I've always assumed that the gentle sway of the light worked in a way that's similar to automated "light movers" (e.g. it allows me more sq footage/per watt for growing)

Of course, my light "swings" faster than lights mounted to a mover (which if I understand correctly, mimics the movement of the earth around the sun).

Am I wrong? Is it better to keep a non-moving "static" light blasting down on the girls rather than the gentle breeze effect that allows the light to be more broadly dispersed?

    Thought? Thanks!

Makes no difference, unless it swings wildly enough to break your lights.
If worried...Is there any way to add some weight to the hood? Either that, or tying the hood to something stationary might help.
