Well... when i said to "get out of the matrix", i meant to leave all illusions... so everybody who would get out of it just to make another matrix and go back to there would still be living in a world of illusions, so it would be the same as dont leave the matrix, no matter if the illusions were better or more pleasurable.
So, it seems very few ones would like to actually leave the matrix...

If you want to change your perspective of existance dramatically and metaphorically "step out of the matrix" for real, I suggest looking into the philisophical writing of david hume. He answers a lot of questions about what makes a certain individual an individual and bases all that we view as reality as the accumulation of data through the senses. Reality to him is a seris of cause and effect relationships between what we percieve and the combination of those observable cause and effects with our memory to create a sense of individuality. Its quite interesting stuff, and I am not sure if my brief and sloppy explanation makes any sense, so you may want to check him out for yourself.

*Warning* his book (Treatise of Human Nature) is written in a style that is pretty unusual and therefor difficult to understand, and it is a little long and boring at times, so if you dont think you have the discipline to force yourself to read his actual book, at least research the points he makes on the internet. It really is interesting stuff and essentially the basis for the theory of natural selection which is the current champion in the world of theories for the origin of man.
Well... while i never did read Hume, i did read a lot of another things which also debated the nature of reality... Platos cave, many buddhist teachings, and most Castanedas books, which were the ones which most influenced me... and, of course, Matrix the movie.
Also, some experiences with altered states of consciousness :rastasmoke: gave me a glimpse of different realities. :abduct:
