I used to race DSMs. Eclipses/Talons not stealths/3000GT's. I used to love my car. It would destroy everything on the launch. All wheel drive with 400hp and 394 ft/lbs of torque.

Yup, mine was AWD, and was an absolute beast from the starting line. Really impressive for a 3.0... I miss that car dearly. Never got it out on a Dyno, but factory it was roughly 320 BHP, and I added quite a few options that bumped the HP considerably. I also shaved off as much weight as I could from the factory specs, and got it running exactly like I wanted it. Light and mean. Did I mention how dearly I miss that car?

I kept breaking transfer cases though. I got tired of breaking drive train parts and just sold the car.

I didn't race mine all that much, unless I was just feeling froggy. I was trying to turn it into a showcar, since you don't see too many Stealths/3000GTs with showcar status, but I had to sell it before it could become what I wanted it to. The only thing on that car that I consistently broke was the clutch.

Geez that was about 9 years ago.. almost 10. I'm getting old

I try not to look at it that way. I like to consider it 'becoming slightly more vintage'!
