    What arrangement is better?

I have two 1000 watt hps lamps both in air cooled reflectors and I am wondering if it is better to have 2 seperate areas like opposite ends of a room for each 1000 watt hps or if its better to have both of them side by side or in line?

I could probably find a splitter for a 6" inline fan duct that goes 2 ways to cool both lights right?

I haven't been yielding enough and I'm usign DWC buckets and advaced nutrients so I want to improve everything to the T.

    please give me suggestions.

Man you should be raking it in with two 1000's. Each one can easily cover an 8 by 8 foot. I would put them inline to get in between the lights. wish I had that much room. cooling is the biggest factor for water temp and keep a good air flow across the tops so lights don't burn them.

Man you should be getting a couple elbows easy. I had a 4 x 6 room and only use 4 x 4 with a 1000 hortilux and could get close to a pound if I starting flower at 12 to 16 inch plants in a drip system.

What kind of bulbs are you using ? Cause when I went to hortilux it almost doubled what I got. Sunmaster is good too.

It should cover two 4 x 4 trays/areas. doesn't matter how you want to configure it, just hang each one over a 4 x 4 area and fit half your plants under each. Personally I would put 4 plants under each light, evenly spaced.

maybe turning my DWC into a 10 bucket dwc under two 1000 WATT HPS lights. Also I want to incorporate the SCROG method.

I have 12 fem clones that are 6 inches tall . It will be about a 5x9 area and positioned like this:
    9feet
    o o o o o

    5 feet

    o o o o o
So I want to put a scrog over top and grow some big plants under that scrog and get some big buds..

Can annyone help me with comments or advice?

I didn't really get your 9 x 5 drawing that you did above, but I'd probably do 4 plants per 1000, not 5. 5 is a little tight.
