watering
Water all at once, only when the soil is pretty dry. Give solid waterings/feedings most of the time, and also every so often do a real heavy watering with plain pH corrected water until some comes out the bottom of the pot. I go on a schedule of feed-feed-feed-mini flush- feed- etc. You don't want soil sitting sodden all the time, but a heavy watering once in a while helps ensure minimal buildup of harmful salts in the pot.
