Not true. For instance if I buy distilled from my local grocery store the ph of their distilled water is 7.2.

If I go to their competitor across the street the ph of their distilled water is 6.8.

The main advantage you gain going from tap water to distilled or RO water is that you don't have to worry about a high PPM coming from your tap water. Which can lead to salt build up and cause you all sorts of problems.

If you use distilled or RO water be sure to add CalMag as the city adds this to your water that comes from the tap. Distilled/RO have this filtered out along with a number of other trace minerals.
