So i was on the way back to school after a good spring beak Sunday. I got pulled over for going 63 in a 45. This is a two lane 45 where the speed limit turns to 65 in a half a mile but thats not important.

I blazed 2 blunts and a bowl or two with my friend before dropping him off at his school and continuing on my way. I got pulled over not 20 minutes from his school. As soon as I saw the lights behind me I started spraying myself and the car with body spray but I was still nervous about it.

After he came up and took my information he got ready to head back to his car but first said I seemed nervous (duh) and started sniffing alot and then this transaction took place:

Cop: Is there anything in the car I that I should know about?
Me:...No, I dont think so.
Cop: You dont think so? So that means yes, right?
Me: No...there isnt.
Cop: ok....

so he heads back to his car and writes up my shit. He comes back and gives me my damn ticket and says "before I let you go I am gonna have you step out of the vehicle and I am gonnna do a search."

I told him it has been a long drive and I would like to keep moving so I decline. He says "well thats your right. you can go"


I didnt waste anytime getting out of there. I had all my pot and all my paraphenalia in my car since I was coming back from break. It could have been bad. Did I get lucky? Did he know? Did he let me go?

All my friends say "man, you got lucky." but i say no, i just knew my rights and excercised them. What do you guys think? Either way i gained alot of faith in the legal system after this incident.
