Obamas Grandmother "Typical White Person"
When you can find a link that provides information regarding "Past Presidents that attended churches where the Reverend gave hate speeches".....then I'll buy into this.

Obamas Grandmother "Typical White Person" In Philadelphia this morning, Barack Obama confronted the remains of the Jeremiah Wright brushfire, the smoldering embers of this anecdote of his grandmother using racial stereotypes that made him cringe... and promptly spilled gasoline on those embers. 610 WIP host Angelo Cataldi asked Obama about his Tuesday morning speech on race at the National Constitution Center in which he referenced his own white grandmother and her prejudice. Obama told Cataldi that "The point I was making was not Rating: 5

You're saying that if McCain or Clinton called their grandmother a "typical white person," the news agencies would be calling for their immediate withdrawal from the race? Seems unlikely.

This whole stupid hullabaloo is not about "reverse racism." It's not about whites being portrayed as racists no matter what they say. This is about a black guy being portrayed as racist when he tried to day something meaningful about race relations.

I think he meant if Clinton or McCain called anyone a "typical black person", the media would give them a very hard time about it... possibly to the point of demanding that they withdraw from the race.

It amazes me that certain groups still wish to see their race get preferential treatment, just because of atrocities committed many years ago. They feel like society owes them something. Society owes them nothing, until they've done something to deserve preferential treatment. This goes for every race and nationality in this country. The day civil rights dictates who's 'entitled' to become our President is the day that I move to Holland. But I don't think I'll ever have to worry about that.

The only way to get past race is not to give such attention when someone says white, black, brown etc...

I can't see J.F.K. going to church, and listening to a priest who denounces blacks. That must be why he was the only Catholic president. Typical America.
