    Rock wool dampness

During seedling stage, should the rockwool be kept wet, or let to dry between waterings? How about after veg starts? I had a 1 inch blueberry that died overnight and the wool was dry. PH was around 5.8 and using miracle grow for the seed stage. Any help? Thanks!

As far as i know, rockwool keeps dampness a long time so you have to water periodicaly. But don't keep it too dry neither. But i am still a beguinner.

it should be wet/damp, but not saturated.

It is almost impossible to over water using rockwool. The way is is manufactured there is always air in it. If you let it go dry your plants will be water starved. I grow in rockwool and water 3-4 times daily. As far as miracle grow, it works ok but it is easy to over fert your plants and it tends to leave a chemical taste.

You say "in between waterings" and that you are using Miracle Grow...are you growing hydroponically or in soil?? I guess I am just a bit stoned and don't get it...

And whoever said Rockwool can't get overwatered is correct. The MOST important thing to do is to let it not get to dry or you are screwed.

Rooisme...I thought you had some 3 weekers in soil and that you decided NOT to go hydro...Did you start some seedlings in rockwool for a hydro setup?? If so, do you have a dome?? You shouldn't have to water much at all after putting the seeds in the rockwool if you have a humidity dome.

    Again, confused...

    Sorry

Rockwool can become overwatered, if you leave it in water. Doing so will cause the water to replace the oxygen pockets,
