I started taking it this week because of an upcoming drug test, too. On the bottle it said it could take up to 72 hours to show effects. I really haven't been noticing too much of a difference- I've still only been crapping once a day.

how long have you been taking it and how much....
the bottle says to take 5 capsules...

If you've been smoking alot and the test is in 5 days you probably don't have time to get cleaned out. Subbing would be a better option. Metamucil definitely helps but I don't think you're going to have enough time.

i've been drinking a lot of water and have been clean for 8 days though....
and by a lot of water i mean like 20 cups a day plus rock stars which have that niacin shit in them and lots of green tea

is metamucil to be stopped a couple days before the test like exercise?

if my test is in 6 days, can metamucil help at all?
