The first two r the recent pics. The last one was a 3 week ago. I have 2 plants under 3 cfl soft white lights. They r close to the plants within 3 inches. I used miricale grow bloom formula about 1 week ago. I followed instructions on the box. The top leaves r twisting a bit. Do i need to flush? Help please.

Scorched leaf tips are often a sign of overfertilizing. If the problem worsens, you might want to think about doing a flush, followed by a dilute feeding with a complete fertilizer (one that includes micronutrients). Then resume your bloom feeding schedule as normal. Be careful with Miracle Grow, it's often too strong for cannabis. If you don't flush now, definitely be sure to do so 1-2 weeks before flowering, and don't feed any more fertilizers... just water. This will help wash away excess fertilizer from the soil, and leave you with much better tasting buds. And yellowing of fan leaves is very common in flowering for many strains, this is because you're using a fertilizer with less Nitrogen, and more Phosphorus/Potash.

If you've never flushed before, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Flushing will remove the excess fertilizer from the soil, as well as salts that build up over time.

As long as the water you're using has a fairly neutral pH (7.0 +/-), you'll want to flush with about twice the amount of water that your pots hold in soil. For example, if you're pot holds three gallons of soil, you'll want to run about six gallons of pH'ed water through it. If you've got a lot of peat in your soil, you might consider using slightly less water to keep things from staying too soggy afterwards. After you're done flushing, feed with a very diluted fertilizer (about 1/4 the strength recommended on the bottle). Your bloom fertilizer probably contains micronutrients, so using it for the post-flush feeding will be fine. When you begin feeding with a bloom fertilizer again, start diluted and work your way back up. With Miracle Grow, you probably won't need to feed at full strength... so you'll have to find out what works best to suit your plants needs.

Wait until about 2 weeks from harvest to flush again, unless you've got a legitimate reason to do another one. Flushing too much during flowering can lead to bud rot. Hope this helps.

That's where I do all mine, it makes cleaning up much easier. Let them sit until there's no more runoff coming out of the bottom, which will help prevent a mess back in the grow room. I like to hold the pots by the rim, and raise/lower them somewhat forcibly a couple of times to help the most of the water to settle in the bottom, then I just pour the runoff down the drain.

    Take care.
