I enjoy the debate, and I will be the first to admit I am not right 100% of the time. I have been wrong before. I remember the last time I was wrong. It was in 1982. It was July 16th at 7:32 in the morning and I am sure the early hour had something to do with the mistake.

The only time I was ever wrong was one time when I thought I was wrong.

As Lou Reed once said, believe half of what you see, none of what you hear.

The truth is no one KNOWS 100% of the time what is the right thing to do, especially in politics. Some may think they do, but they don't, at least not all the time. And the ones who think so the most, and come at problems from pure ideology, are the ones most likely to be wrong.
So you get this back and forth of people coming at the some problems from different points of view, and that is why there is disagreement, and that is why you can have "evidence" and "proof" to support contradictory opinions.
The debate and argument is what makes democracy work. As long as different parties can come at a problem with an open mind and listen to the other opinions, usually the group will come to a semi-reasonable decision.
If we all just knew what the right thing to do was, and we all just agreed about everything, then there would be no need for debate, but that is not the way things work. You need to accept that there are many sides to any issue, listen to what other people think, think about it yourself, and decide for yourself.
