I don't believe you
I've been reading the politics forums a lot lately, and I've only managed to come to one, real, legitimate conclusion: everyone is a liar. Absolutely, positively, completely, everyone. Someone starts a thread to bash Bush, or liberals, or Obama, or conservatives, or McCain, or Clinton. Claims are spewed. Links are posted. Proof is given. Upon reading this, more links and proof are immediately posted that prove the absolute opposite thing. There's not even slightly a point to reading anything anymore, because no one is right. What's the point in arguing if everyone is right and wrong at the same time? If I wanted, I could come up with a crappy counter argument for every thread in this forum. I've officially stopped believing anything anyone says, because I know in ten minutes someone will "disprove" it with more crap. I don't know who to believe anymore, so I just won't believe anyone anymore. We're all wrong, whether we like it or not.

Well, usually in politics one party isn't 100% right. It takes a mixture of two or three parties to get a good run.
But what do you expect in the political section? Hugs and confetti? It's a warzone. It's a subject people really feel strongly about. I like to call it 'the lion pit". It's all in good fun though.

Truth is the recognition of reality; reason, man's only means of knowledge, is his only standard of truth.

Where would politics be without debate?
-------
Politician #1: "Don't ever question my ethics, because I'm never wrong."
Politician #2: "Yeah, you're probably right..."
The end.
-------
I could see this getting monotonous REAL fast. I agree 100% with Reb, things can get pretty hectic with so many opinions being thrown around, but it's all in good fun.

The point isn't to "win".
It's to teach your opponent your side of the debate and maybe, just maybe they'll see the light.

I disagree.
You're totally wrong.
