A little worried about substitution

My tests have always been DOT tests and I have occasionally been asked for more. Thats why I still follow the dillution sticky the morning of the test. Rather than argue with the tech I just add a little of my heavily dilluted urine to the QF as I fill the cup.

Me personally, I would rather argue with the tech than taking any chances with with a negative-dilute, or even a positive by using any of my own urine. Because with DOT testing, the guidelines and protocols must be adhered to by the collectors, otherwise the test results are void.
Since DOT requires only 45 ml of sample, and 45 ml is all the donor can submit, the collector would have to accept it. Forcing the donor to submit more than 45 ml of sample would be in violation of the DOT guidelines.

Know your rights and the DOT regs and do not be afraid to assert them. :smokin:

It's a careful game of politely telling the collector they are full of BS or wrong. Collectors know about substitution so they might be trying to scare you, other times they might be just trying to get enough urine from you because they ask for just a little more than what is needed to make sure they get it.

Technically, if you gave them 60 and they tried to say you failed to give a sample, they would have to write in the comment field why and send in the sample anyway and hopefully the MRO would see it and know that 60 was given and should have been accepted.

And also they have the right to hold you there and make you drink 40 ounces of water for up to 3 hours to get the sample.
I could never set anywhere for 3 hours to do anything before I would be ripping somebodies head off.lol
And probably most of us really need the job so we just kind of put up with the bs just to get back to work Which ain't right but its just the way it is.

Takeittothehead, stop it with the visine or sure gel methods. See this person wants to pass that's why they are subbing.:jointsmile:

Visine doesn't work anymore and sure gel isn't 100% like subbing is. Sure gel is just the dilution method with soluble fiber added to the process. Do an advanced search for posts from me using the term Kraft and you can learn all about sure gel.

By the way guys, just an update: everything went fine, luckily. I was scared the whole time, but anyway...Nuked it for 11 seconds, strapped a heater to it, sat with it on my crotch in waiting room for a couple hours, did my thing in the bathroom; results = i have a job. Stuck it the fuckin' man just like i wanted to. Now, to stay clean for random testing...sucks but I think I'll live. I'm giving myself 4 weeks before my job starts to get clean for random tests. I figure on average, as long as they don't force a random test on me in the first couple weeks of my job (I imagine the probability of a random test is pretty low), I'll be clean enough in 4-6 weeks as long as I go cold turkey...any thoughts on that? Thanks guys and keep strugglin' on.
