specs - 1 100 watt cfl with 2000 lumens for flowering

1 pc fan for ventilation....

pic 1... Outter view of the drawer.. looks like a normal drawer right?

pic 2... just a pic of the timer set on 12/12 on at 6am off at 6pm that way light leaks cant be seen... this is a stealth grow.

pic 3... just a pic of the inside with the pot and the light... i got it on books to get it closer to the light.. i can also adjust light height...its on an extension cord through a hook.

i got maybe 3 or 4 seeds in there... all of them are some kind of dody... but one of them i got from what i believed to be some hot pink sativa. so im payin close attention to that seed.

Start with 18/6 or straight 24 hour light schedule. You may risk detection of your housemates/parents but youre seedling will need the hours. No less than 6 hours of dark before flowering.

Consider getting a couple more cfls in there and start looking into topping and LSTing for space efficiency. Im assuming you are using an 100watt equivalence cfl. Watts mean nothing, its the lumens per square foot ratio thats important. Take a look in the indoor lighting forum section. There should be a sticky worth take a gaze at.

Read the forums and you will be able to avoid problems early on.

that bulb i got is 2000 lumens is that good for 1 plant?

i came home from work and checked out my plant....

no sprout yet.. but i moved some soil around and the seed has germinated... so hopefully there will be a sprout by tonight..,..

btw i think im gonna stick with 12/12 cycle from seed and buy like 1 more cfl.

Does that pot have drainage? Can you cover it with duct tape so it is not clear any more?

I'd recommend sticking to 24/0 or at least 18/6 light until it shows sexual maturity.

This thread should answer your questions about lighting. It would be wise to take stinkyattic's as well as my advice about switching to 24 hour or 18/6. 12/12 is for flowering.

no the pot doesnt have drainage.... the top is completely air sealed with one of those bags u get from the grocery store that u put fruit in... but when it sprouts im gonna put it in a better potting set up.

as far as lights im gonna stick with my warm 100 watt cfl and my cool 100 watt cfl on 12/12 cycle... im gonna go buy a light splitter so i can put both bulbs in.

i just checked the soil and it looks like its about to sprout but i think the seed was in the soil weird cause ut looks like the st. louis arch commin out the soil.... i dont know if i should help it out cause one of the sides has a couple leaves on it...

Yeah, drainage is important.

Patience with the seedling is key. You want to avoid disturbing it as much as possible. Touching the germinating seed will only hurt it.
