I plan on adding some more CFL's in about a week, but can't right now due to funding. I have no 3" pots, but do have some 8" ones if that's alright to use, I could re-pot them in that. I plan on using no nutes, as there is no money for them, and I figure it's just a weed, it should be able to grow just about anywhere

I don't understand how my house plants live for so long then without having the soil changed, that's the potting soil I'm using now, the same I used for my house plants.

Just talked to my significant other about how our house plants stay alive so long....we use Miracle Grow on them so I guess I'll try that. Has anyone had any success with that?

Hi AspenGrow.
How long do you leave the lights on each day? For vegging you want at least 18 hours a day.
As you read the FAQ questions about soil and amendments you'll find that growers prefer a quality soil mixture and many do not recommend miracle grow. If you do have to use it, start off with 1/4 potency and graduate to full potency over a few weeks. When you get to blooming (in 6-8 weeks) you'll want a different nutrient solution.
Good Luck, man.

I have the lights on full 24 hours, no off period. I'm not using any miracle grow solution right now, just plain water, I was going to wait until I put them in larger pots to start using any nutrients, because I think I've read somewhere that seedlings don't like getting any type of fertilizer.

Just got done transplanting, some are starting to show 3-leaf sets, I put up a pic of the biggest one, all 4 of them, and one that is seemingly a mutant. (it has 3 leaves and 3 cotedylon things)
Should I start them on a 12-12 light cycle now or should I wait a few more days until the shock of re potting is over?

I would wait until the plants mature. The branches (nodes) will start to grow "alternate" to each other, rather than "opposite". What I mean is, when the branches grow out of the stem they come out together, one on each side. When the plant matures a branch grows out on one side, then on the other side.

Looks good, but I am concerned about their strength. Are you using a fan? I know you had stretching early, just curious. I commend you on keeping it simple.
If you are not using a fan, please do, it will thicken those stalks and provide for better nutrient delivery.
Good luck!!!Laws made in DC should stay in DC
