QF in Florida and the GM/?? test?

fellow somkers-this is the week
i will be taking a dot-physical and urine sample. the morning i leave and throughout the process i will post some updates.

i will be using qf and feel pretty good about the temp. (been practicing). my only obstacle will be navigating around the physical part and providing my sample since i will be stashing it under the boys. but i believe i got this figured out as well.

my questions are - please answer FBR if you have the time:

success with qf in florida?

will qf work on any urine test?

Supertoker--I will be cheering you on as I am in the preparation stages of returning to trucking here in Texas so your overall process is what I have been wondering about all along. I will be following your post so keep the temp right and most importantly let us truckers know how you maneuver through the physical/urine combo test in general. Good luck.

This is what I know so far. I have done three practice runs and everything seems to be consistent with the temps and times.

Two times have i have nuked it for ten seconds and then strapped a heat pack to it and shoved it in my pocket. After the ten seconds. the temp was around 90-94 degrees.

one time after the first hour i saw no temp register on the bottle (it was hotter than 100 degrees) i thought it wasnt hot enough. shoved it back in pocket for another hour. after about two hours i removed the heat pack and watched the temp guage very closely.

it dropped to 100 degrees in about 5-7 minutes. it stayed in the 90-100 degree range for at least 20 minutes.

second time-after the first hour- the temp range was still only 94 degrees. i think the heat pad was bad. cracked another heat pad and attached it to the bottle along with the old one. one long ways on the back and the old one accross the top above the heat strip. dont place the heat pack on the strip directly. and shoved it back in my pocket.

the temp rose above 100 degrees within 20 minutes and stayed that way for a few more hours. Once again i removed the heat pack and within 5-7 minutes it dropped to the 100 degree range. it stayed in range for another 20 minutes.

Moral of this expeirment is to check the temp prior to walking into the clinic. if its low-slap a fresh heat pack on it and wait about twenty minutes before you go in.

today i tried the process i will be using. I'm giving myself a 2-3 hour range to p/u consent form and get to clinic and drop. figure worst case senario, i will have 4-5 hours tops-maybe more-but i wont be waiting around that long to find out.

i nuked it for ten seconds-got it to 90 degrees-nuked it again for 10 more seconds-this got it really hot out of the 100 degree range-let the bottle cool for a few seconds-no noticable temp drop-placed a heat pad on it and shoved it in my pocket. checked the bottle periodcally for two hours-remained well above the 100 degree range. heat pack was working fine. the last 45 minutes i placed it underneath the boys, as is this is how i will be getting it into the clinic. im going to wear two smaller than i should be wearing pair of tighty whiteys with the qf in between the two pair of underwear. during this expeirment, i had them under the boys. if you will be getting a physical, i suggets placing them in between the two pair of underwear. after 45 minutes, one of my nuts was quite roasted. i would hate to explain why one of my nuts was very hot and red. just my $0.02 worth.

after two hours i went into the bathroom, while pulling the qf out of my underwear i fumbled it into the toilet-must of been the xanax i was on to clam ny nerves-but this did give me and idea later on.

i pulled the qf out and removed the heat pack-once again-around 5-7 minutes it cooled to 100 degrees. when i dropped the qf in the toilet it gave me an idea. while waiting for the temp to drop-you know it feels like forever while the door is closed-i placed the bottom half of the qf and held it in the toilet water-keep the temp strip above the water. With the two nuke jobs this seemed to help bring the temp down quicker. once again-i had about twenty minutes until it went from in range to out of range. then took a little piss in the toilet-to make it look good-and opened up the door and handed it to my wife-the temp nazi-she said i passed.

Big C- my plan to get around the physical is to request to give my sample first-while it is in my underwear-after they tell me what is going on. if they insist that i do the physical first-while i am undressing-i will stash the qf in my pants. if i cant get a hold of the qf prior to going into the bathroom- i will stall-stage fright!-until i can put my clothes back on- do the i need to drink some water- after im dressed i will say im ready and do the do!

i know this post is long, but i hope it helps. i will update when i head out to the clinic this week.

Good post supertoker.
On a DOT test there is usually a temp strip on the side of the cup. If its too hot just pour it into the cup and blow on it till the temp is about 98. If something screws up and the temp is too low. Rub your thumb briskly on your clothes and hold your thumb against the temp strip to get it back in range. Whe I was first doing subbing I would stick a digital thermometer in my sock so I could make sure where the temp was,high or low.
I have never taken a UA for a DOT test that the toilet water wasn't blue.

thanks-you are correct about the toilet water-i was only suggesting that one hold the bottle of qf into the "cold" toilet water-to help bring the tempature down-not add or mix in the water.
