Ah yes, far better to restrict what the majority can view than teach our children better. The day we let the government protect us from ourselves is the day we lost much of our civil liberties. It's why we can't toke a harmless plant, or watch most movies without them being edited for content. Of course people would rather find a scapegoat than accept their own inadequacies, it's human nature. But to sit there and and say that TV is ruining this country is childish and baseless. TV is just a source of entertainment and information; what you dowith that is completely up to you. A little parenting goes a long way, but in today's hectic lifestyle, parents don't spend enough/any time with their children, and so TV takes the parents' spot teaching and rasiing today's youth. But is it TV's fault, should we ask the FCC to tighten their grip on our media even more because the parents of today are inept, or tell the parents to shapen up? Me personally, I want the government out of my life as much as possible, but then again, I'm a big boy.
