I did the exact same thing in my living room a few years ago. I have two large speaker cabinets that are about 10 years old, I've put 15" Rockford Fosgate subwoofers in them both of them. When I first moved into my house, I didn't have an entertainment center at first, so I set my television on top of the speaker cabinets. My television was a multicolored mess after that, and we ended up having to replace it.

Magnetic fields, gotta love 'em.
Mr. Clandestine Reviewed by Mr. Clandestine on . Very odd question Can having your television (rear projection) near your frow room running a HPS lamp damage it? I have had 2 tvs damaged ever since I have my grow room near it. There is no heat build up. Are there certain waves the lamp puts off that could eventually damage my tvs lens? Rating: 5
