Very odd question
Can having your television (rear projection) near your frow room running a HPS lamp damage it? I have had 2 tvs damaged ever since I have my grow room near it. There is no heat build up. Are there certain waves the lamp puts off that could eventually damage my tvs lens?

Very odd question
chances are that its not the tv or the bulb, but rather the ballast.
if your ballast is not digital (youd know when you bought it), then it carries a large electric and magnetic chrge inside of it, which can interfere with some devices to my knowledge.

Very odd question
I keep two ballasts, one digital and another magnetic, less than ten feet away from the television in my bedroom. I've never experienced any problems. The magnetic one is only a 400w, though. How many watts is the one you're using? If it's a 1k, it might be powerful enough to mess with your television. Digital cameras, cellphone cameras, etc., on the other hand, seem to get a little screwy when used near some ballasts, like Hybrid mentioned.
Are you seeing discoloration on the television screen? If so, it might be a good idea to move the ballast, or the television so they don't interfere with one another.

Very odd question
The ballast is 600 watt (not digital) It is in my attic; above and to the right of the tv. It screws up the convergence so the colors never match again. I just got back from buying a plasma. I will move the ballast further away if I can. This just seems ridiculous.

Very odd question
When I had my Corner Horns next to the tv I got a green spot on the side closest to the speaker but when I moved the speaker away the spot cleared up after a couple days and all's well with it now...it's an older Sony Trinitron.
