Fucking BBC I just watched this on the news and it the report did not sound at all sympathetic towards the cause. Nobody was being violent, well apart from the police who appeared very heavy handed in the way they tackled the protestors. There was also a clip from Nepal showing the police beating and kicking some protestor who was on the ground and in no position to defend himself.

I hope this events becomes entirely overshadowed by these protest, fuck the olympics and fuck the Chinese imperialists.

More than 660 people have turned themselves in to police following recent violent protests in and around Tibet, Chinese state media has said.

Xinhua news agency reported 280 people in Lhasa had handed themselves in by late Tuesday, and earlier reports said 381 people in Sichuan had surrendered.

China is trying to end the biggest protests by Tibetans in 20 years.

I saw on the news where Chinese cops were beating monks with night sticks. The one dude was already in the back and the cop busted his batton across the monks fingers.

Thanks, I'll be back to work on monday now that I have my foot back so don't expect an up to the minute report from next week.

I saw several footages of cops/security laying in to protestors heavy handedly, there was a clip of some guy who ran onto the street shouting and waving a flag and next thing two security guys come along, one of them lamps the guy and he falls to the ground, it's all a bit off camera so it's hard to see what is going on but it rather looked like after the protestor was down the two security guards starting laying punches into him completely unprovoked.
