I've been a daily smoker for about 9 years... and by daily, I mean all day/every day. I never really had a desire to cook with bud, because I have a fixation with smoking and it's my favorite thing to do. Anyway, last night I decided, since I had plenty of bud, to try the easiest recipe I could find. I just took under a gram of some really really nice nice-ness (pics posted in the Post your Dank thread) ground it up pretty well, and put it in a pan with like a large mugs worth of half and half, and a small amount of skim milk so I wasn't drinking thick ass cream sludge. I put the heat on lowest setting, brought it to simmer, and simmered for 20 or so minutes (stirring frequently). I strained the milk through a gold coffee filter (permanent filter) and then squeezed the buds dry into the cup also. Threw sludge buds away. Mix chocolate powder, allow to cool and enjoy. The undertones of herb in the hot chocolate was really nice actually. I tried not to smoke while I drank it, but couldn't resist a fresh bowl. I definitely felt effects, nothing crazy, but like waves of confusion and "zoning." It never really overpowered my "smoking high," but I will say that when I torqued some hits off a bong later, it blew me off the planet. More than usual for sure. So, all in all, it was worth the .7g and time to make the hot chocolate. I wouldn't rely on this recipe, with such a small amount, to get you stoned all night... but it really elevates your high when you smoke afterwards. Just wanted to share a testimonial.
