think of the money spend on prohibition. on incarcerating people. think of the lives ruined with criminal records.

think of the profits enjoyed by organized crime, and the lives lost in the underground trade. think of the enfocement offcers lives lost.

and then think how many people you dont dont smoke solely because it is illegal? probably none. meaning all of the costs i mentioned above are for nothing.

i am not convinced we need to stay on yank nuts. we got the oil, the food, the lumber, the minerals, the resources, the steel, the diamonds. we dont need to sell manufacturing to the neighbors when the whole world needs what we have. ESPESCIALLY as china and india develop a middle class, and economic sanctions from the neighbor would come from our choice to live our way.

So, I've been thinking about marijuana laws recently here in Canada, and I concluded that it's absurd that we do not legalizate and regulate cannabis, even tax it(heaven forbid)...sell it at the store, like smokes or liquor. You would make extreme profits. Eliminate those deals that soccer mom's hate in the parking lot near their kids.
