Oral test???

I applied online for a position with Cable One yesterday, and was asked for an interview tommorow. I was pretty excited because I REALLY need a job, paying at least $10 an hour. This one starts at $13, so it would be pretty nice to get it. I didnt know if they drug tested though, and the site said nothing about it.

Anyway, I went to the library to print out my resume and directions and stuff and saw this guy john I hadnt seen for years. He says hello and we start talkin, then I mention my interview and hes like "No way, I start my training at Cable One next week" which was really weird. But he ends up telling me they do in fact drug test, but its an oral swab. So that was pretty relieveing, Im not under the impression that saliva carries thc, so I should be ok, right??? I had a friend who smoked up right before an oral test and passed. But that may have been some kind of freak accident and I may be wrong, and oral tests are more accurate then urine / hair.

Im anticipating the actual test here within the week, what should I do/ be weary of?

Swab tests do in fact detect THC but they have a very limited detection period. Your friend got lucky by smoking the day of the test and I would not recommend doing this. Abstain for at least 3 days before your test and make sure to brush thoroughly and just generally practice good hygene.

Again, just be patient and abstain for a few days, brush your teeth, and you should be good to go.

Also, someone (I think FBR) posted a certain technique that you actually do with the swab itself to increase your chances of passing. I believe it had something to do with barely touching the cheek of your mouth when administering the swab.

If it is a saliva test, you just need to be clean 2-4 days before the test. Make sure you brush your teeth before the test and gargle with mouthwash, preferably listerine. Like I said 3 days on average you will be fine for the saliva test. Hair tests are the worse, as thc can be detected for more than 90 days, and urine test for thc can be detected for 30-60+ days for a chronic user. Saliva and blood tests are detected for just 3 days on average for a chronic user. Good Luck

Yes but I think it has the potential to be longer. Why risk a job when abstaining for a few extra days is not that hard to do
