Sorry, no- that's a family I have limited experience with, and even then, only with the gladioli and some daylilies (mostly thinning them from the big mess they make in my side-yard lol... want some divisions? ).

I'll pass for right now. I have too many babies growing at the moment.. lol.

I was just trying to figure out how to revive my spaths' a bit. I neglected them often before I found out I actually enjoy growing stuff and they had pretty much died about 7-8 times total. I'd water them and they'd come back to life.

Naturally they've lost some of their turgidity. I was trying to figure out a way how to fix that. I suppose this would be a good canidate for my potassium expierement.

I've always sucked with this plant. I hear it needs very little care. It is a giant spath and never seems to look as good as other spaths no matter what i do to it and it doesn't seem to grow new foliage and the blooms.. geez forget about it you'd be asking for a miracle.

They're such pretty plants, I just suck with them apparently despite how low maintenance they are.

I've got a very healthy Peace Lily that's just starting to put up some white flowers. Afraid I won't be able to offer much advice on houseplants, though. I just keep that one around because of its ability to purify the air. I keep several parrots all throughout my house, and many wonderful houseplants sadly are very toxic for them.

Really there's nothing to them from what I read, but I severely neglected mine and I wanted to see if there was a sure fire way to restore their previous vigor.

bleh.. not to many forums on house plants or spaths for that matter.

Repotting mine from the smaller container that it was in to a larger pot really increased its vigor. It was badly rootbound. Besides that, it has been a very easy plant to care for. Maybe you could split the root mass in two, and treat each plant individually. Mine went through hell when I first got it, mainly because it was my wife's responsibility to water and care for it. That lasted all of an entire month, then it became my responsibility to save it and ensure its continued survival. But again, after the transplant, it took off again and is about to grace my livingroom with new flowers. They also like just a pinch of nitrogen about once a month, which seems to make new growth explode. Haven't tried giving it anything in the way of phosphorus yet, but I probably will soon.

Hrm, I read they like to be a little rootbound. They're currently in 5 gallon pots. All I have to swap them out with are 7 gallon pots. I'll check them tonight to see how rootbound they are.

I talk to other medical growers every day.
I work in a MMJ resource center. Growers come in to learn and share all the time.
As an activist, I've met some very famous growers like Ed Rosenthal, Bill Drake, Kyle Kushman, Dennis Peron, and many others.
I've met some great growers in Holland too.
