Noob. Could cold water be doing this to my sprouts?
This is my first grow from bagseed and its not going too well. The seeds started sprouting last Sunday and looked fine but a few days ago the leaves started curling under and I just noticed that there are small brown spots on the leaves.
They're growing in small plastic pots. Expert Gardener Organic Mix All Purpose Potting soil enriched with organic fertilizer. I started off watering them twice a day which i know is too much...so i held off watering them the past three days and am going to water every 3 days.
They're continuously under 6 26watt CFLs. And in the rubbermaid setup.
I can't get any pics but they're like all the other pics of leaves curling under.
And the stems are purpleish.
This weekend I'm going to get some Foxfarm stuff and try this again if these fail.

Please fill out the troubleshooting form and supply pics if possible.
To answer your question. Yes, cold water could put your plant into shock but the question is how cold is cold. You want to stay as close to soil temperature or better, but I think as long as your water is 65 degrees or warmer you're fine.DISCLAIMER: I do not know how to grow/cultivate cannabis. I suppose I should have said, "Is cold water the only thing that could be doing this to my plants?"

you may want to post a thread under the Plant Problems forum and use this troubleshooting form in your first post.
Try to answer as much of it as possible and provide pics.

maybe its just the soil. i bought some of the expert stuff you are using from wal mart because i was too lazy to make my own mix. it seems a bit too barky and ive noticed some spots on mine too.

I did the same thing, But i have the Miracle Grow , not sure what kind its at my sisters, but my leaves started curling but they are not turning colors. (could the problem be to much humidity? cause i have a humidifier running in my closet on low while the lights are on.)

Hellrazor - Yeah miracle grow aint cool. Could be your soil is just to hot for seedlings. Those plants are very young!! They dont look unhealthy to me, so honestly I wouldnt worry to much. At least wait until they get some fan leaves
Humidity shouldnt be a problem, seedlings like a lil bit of humidity. Oh and dont jack threads.
Zild - Are they wilty? or just curled like Hellrazors, or just at the tip? I would def fill out the plant problems forum! You might be having the same problem as well, with organic ferts added the soil might just be to hot. Seedlings like plain old dirt, they dont need any of the fancy stuff. Especially since Mushaboom has the same problem.
I would just go get some seedling starter mix (luckily its really, really easy to find this time of year) Good luck!
