Obviously by now everybody (at least everybody who reads political blogs) is aware that Florida and Michigan are trying to figure out what to do about there supersized screw-up by moving up their primary and caucus against Democratic rules. Now, Florida is considering a ??vote by mail? primary.

Does anybody else think this is a terrible idea that will inevitably call for cries of fraud? Because it will.

First of all, obviously coercion is going to take place. I can tell you with utmost certainty I have friends who could care less about politics, let me tell you how hard it would be for me to tell them who to vote for and they would. Not hard.

Secondly, intimidation will play a huge factor. There is complete anonymity in voting by mail, and numerous people will be intimidated into voting for one or the other of the candidates.

Third, what happens when the race comes back incredibly close? The minute a winner is announced the other party is going to immediately cry foul about the voting process and how it is unfair due to the above reasons

Bad idea Democrats. Great for Republicans if it happens.
