    Hermie question

Anyone know if the seeds produced by a hermie will be female? I had one last cycle that was hermie, took the seeds and planted them. Sofar 4 of 14 seeds are confirmed female. The other's haven't shown sex yet.

    Hermie question

It's not foolproof, but in essence the seeds aren't supposed to possess the chromosome necessary to produce males. That's not saying it's impossible for 'femmed' seeds to produce males. Because they will, it just seems the likelihood for males is lower.

Here's a good thread where several growers experimented with femmed seeds, producing them and growing them: Hermie Thread. NEED ANSWERS And a slightly older one: Hermie solution - confirmed!

    Hope those help.

    Hermie question

i'm pretty sure hermie plants produce hermie seeds and thats the reason why you suspect 4 females and the rest unconfirmed. Likely they will all have both female and male flowers. I'm not completely sure so don't quote me on it.

    Hermie question

The biggest one i have, which is outside has all female flowers. Haven't seen a sign of any male on it. Sofar the others haven't shown any male traits. I'll keep you all posted as they go.
Pondering if it has to do with the strains?

If you are not sure, reading the hermie links provided in Mr. C's post above, should help clear-up your misconceptions. Generally, knowing what one is talking about before one posts a 'helpful' response, is a step in the right direction. Otherwise, one may just look a tad foolish.

Was the hermie one you came across in one of your grows, or is it one you stressed on purpose, to make hermie?
