how accurate are home drug tests? ive used one before it came up two lines but when i went for the test at the lab i failed it the line was kind of faint but the directions said any line is negative. the cut off was 50ng. on the home test. any ideas why i failed it?

They are not as accurate as lab tests. They do not check for key factors in verifying a legitimate sample (creatine levels, specific gravity etc)

Also, did you take the lab test after you took the home test (same day) and did you dillute for your home test but not stay hydrated for your lab test?

Home tests are pretty accurate. THC metabolite level in urine can vary. This iis why I recommend if you pass a home test still follow the dillution sticky the morning of the test. Its worth being cautious.

When you took your home test, did you use the first mornings pee?

The only conclusion I can come up with is you diluted yourself to much with the home test to have it come up negative and did not use your first void of the day for an accurate reading, and for the lab test did not do any minor dilution for the lab test for example drinking a couple of gatorades and pissing 1-2 times before the test and pissing midstream. Those home tests are real accurate and I hope you are not just trying to scare people for the hell of it.

Let me clarify with my first post that home test are accurate in detecting THC but you do not have to be as precise with making sure all of your other levels are normal.
