i don't do it IN the grow room at night, ONLY if i am there for a while. plus it is ONE lumen and the plants don't want light, so maybe not a good idea . so you don't have a ph meter? i only have ph paper strips right now and i know some people would yell at me for that, but that is all i can afford at the moment and it has worked for me. looks like you have alot of your bases covered. except for that ph thing and that could be a factor really soon.

as for your leaves. are you talking about the first set of leaves that comes when your seed sprouts? if so, then yes it is perfectly natural for those first AND second leaves to die off and fall off. it kind of looks like the leaf dies and the stem gets bigger and a snake skin type thing happens. as long as you have plenty of other healthy leaves to photosynthesize, then you are fine. from what you describe, sounds like things are going good. keep coming back with updates as all of us here love to hear/help eachother and we all LOVE to hear when there is a baby girl!!! take care
