Look at the mothers and they will tell you.
What does the side growth production look like? Is there a lot of branching, or not?
How far apart are the nodes spaced?
How stiff are the branches?

Close nodes and minimal branching= ideal SOG

Long node spacing and branchy habit= ideal SCROG

Very stiff branches= Pinch and train into a little bush, or run SOG
