Most of your commercial growing equipment will plug into a standard household socket, be it 120v or 240... or somewhere in between. If you're in the U.S. it'll most likely be 120. Just make sure that the electrical outlet(s) you'll be using are rated for the kind of wattage you'll be pushing through it. Most small grow ops won't exceed this rating, but you can never be too careful when messing around with electricity. (Especially since you'll be watering in the immediate vicinity.)

Definitely spend some more quality time going through the posts in these forums, and the board FAQs. There is a ton of great information all throughout those two sources that will help answer lots of questions you might have. And when you get stuck, there are a lot of good knowledgeable folks around these forums who'll be glad to help you out. We're a community here, and we try to watch out for one another, no matter how 'silly' the questions may be.
