    Question about PC Planter

Hey how's it goin new to board what's up?I was considering buying the "PC Planter"from Sunlight Sheds and they say you can grow a up to a pond anualy.I was looking at it and the deal is good but i'm afriad that the lamps may be too low when the cannabis gets to tall and may burn the plant!Has anyone used this product before?

Me and my buddy have some good mid seeds planted(about "4-6 tall) and we wanted to go indoor nugs but not get busted so this seemed like the cheepest, safest, easyiest turn key system avalible!

    Question about PC Planter

Those things are expensive, and they give you practically no room to work with. For that amount of money, you'd probably be better off building a stealth growbox yourself. You could then tailor it to suit your needs, instead of the other way around. Just my :twocents:.

P.S. - Welcome to the boards!

    Question about PC Planter

Sorry Bob, interesting avatar by the way! Woo-haa!

What ever happened to the OP, anyway?

I took some more time to look at this PC Planter deal, and I just can't see how it would be anywhere near big enough to actually flower a plant. But I'm guessing it would have to, or people wouldn't be selling it. I've heard of folks doing micro grows, but damn... that's a lot of money for a box that doesn't look like it'll give much room at all. Granted, it looks like a PC tower... which is cool. But I've seen people make dresser-drawer fixtures that looks just like a dresser-drawer, only you get about 10 times the space for only a fraction of the cost.

    Question about PC Planter

Well I have to look at one thing.I am realy afriad of the DEA airplanes and Helicoptors that fly over.I don't want my door kicked in so I was considering the PC Planter(looks like a computer, easy to mantain..ect.) and prolly start out with Blueberry.BUT I am looking for good yield and someting to grow multipule plants not just 2.

Can someone give me some links on this board of projects pepole made and had good sucess?I was looking at one guys and he had the 2 containers on top of each other with the lights inside of it(I believe in the indoor section?I lost were I was at and can't find it!)and had about 8 plants coming up close to harvest.I liked his idea AND it was cheep.

I am looking for someting good for yields but also someting that is fairly not notciable PLUS I realy don't have enough room realy to setup a good system!

Uhhhh heh.Well for one i'm stayin with my grandmother now(i'm 21)waiting for my house to be built. She knows I smoke she helped me grow some outdoors plants 2 years ago .BUT the 2 closets I could use already have light bulbs in it.I coulduse them I am just afriad of a police encounter feel me?The closets I esitmate are prolly 9" tall and is prolly 1/2 foot in by 2 foot across(there not walk in.)

    I think i'd rather build a cabinet I mean I have $600 to spend,hell,why not?

I just want someting good to grow some nuggs I mean a gram of "Purp"is $30 and a gram of Kush is $25!I was thinking Hydro but I am not educated enough at this point to pull it off.Need to study more Hydro :rastasmoke:.

    Question about PC Planter

I hear ya, man. And you've got one cool grandmother!

About the DEA flyovers, you really have nothing to worry about unless you've got one mad growing operation going on. I'm talking about lots of big lights, too. An average 1k HID isn't going to produce enough of a heat signature to really make it stand out. Unless the fuzz is already coming down hard on you, in which infrared detection is the least of your worries. As for random flyby's, they're probably not even going to notice what you've got going on in your closet. They're too busy chasing Crackhead Joe who's building a meth lab out in the woods to worry about what you're doing. Plus, another thing to remember is that the DEA doesn't just do random flights in hopes of catching someone with an HID... which could be used for legal purposes for all they know. It's too expensive to fuel up those choppers for anything that won't lead to a BIG bust, and it's unconstitutional for them to spy on you without a warrant. As long as you keep your lips zipped, you'll likely have very little to worry about.

I think the larger cabinet is going to be your best bet, or maybe even a Hydrohut, or something similar. You'll have a LOT more room to work with, which gets really important when you flower. These plants can easily triple in height in just a few months. I'm sure someone has successfully flowered a plant that's just a foot tall, but you have to consider how much the yield would have suffered keeping the plant so short. Just my thoughts on the matter... but you gotta do what works best for you, your situation, and your comfort level.

    Take care.

    Question about PC Planter

You guys are realy helpful thank you,you can call me "Ready".Yes I know I am just kinda nervous but I feel better now and your right they have better things to do for that matter.

I remembered after posting I have a GOOD cabinet I use to put my tv on!Matter of fact it's prolly the same size has that stealth cabinet(sbg stealth cabinet or someting)so i'm prolly gona use it.

I am going to do my reaserch and i'm gona need all the help I can get for building it!So mabye one of you can send me construction plans(like good ventalation instructions, good grow lights and right lumans..ect.)A dummies guide if you will.I am going to post soon a new thread w/pics so yhall can moniter my process and make sure i'm doing it right!

One more question this may sound dumb(remember ima Noob)but does the grow lights plug into a sockett or will I need to strip them and run them into someting to plug in the wall?
