So all in all Fang weighed out at 192 finished grams.......not bad but not the "elbow" I had visions of.

Still has that very unique "overly sweet" citrusy smell to her (almost say "reek") and a very good bang! All the good elements....visual, cerebral and fairly heavy hitting without the slack-jawed couchlock that puts me down for the count (but works GREAT for Mr Hound!)

And Stealth and Zeb.....I have to say that we made some cold water hash with some of the WW so I did try it but couldn't tell you anything about the differences between the hydro and soil versions.....my lungs are just too trashed to do much smoking so I pretty much stick to small hits of hash here and there. Everything else is capsules or edibles...... (It WAS (and is) REAL good hash.....!!!)

Is it better to do lower amounts of nutes (say 700ppms) and water with nutes more often (say every other watering) or go with higher amounts (1300ppm) every third or so watering?

What IS an ideal soil nute schedule for blooming in soil?

Funny you should ask this, I just picked up a big bog 'o FF dirt yesterday and need the same advice...

MVP....what about the Strawberry Cough did you find to be a keeper? What's the background on that.....somebody else really liked that too. Whats the secret?

What I like about the Strawberry Cough is that it gives me a substantial "up" high - very heady but no headache - and I have energy to get stuff done while it relieves my back pain at the same time. Its supposed to be 75% sativa and it seems to live up to its billing. :thumbsup:

Bubblebags! My favorite new toy! I made a small run and got 2 grams of hash from the Strawberry Cough and GDP trimming (no popcorn, just leaf). Very nice full melt hash... I brought the "okay" stuff (90-160 micron) to the poker game and the fellas LOVED it. I bet they will freak out when I bring the 45 micron full melt primo quality stuff... :jointsmile:

poker too MVP? I see many a smoking game nights in Cali coming....WH, IMHO with the FFoF, every other watering with half strength nutes seems to be the happy medium...If you remember, we have had HELL figuring out the nute sched. that the FFoF like...depends on strain too i guess....I flushed to hell, and gradually increased nutes to get to my happy medium...

A fair question, and one that in recent weeks has been much on my mind. I've done both. I'm trying my first real indoor soil grow, basically because I'm either too depressed or too lazy to hook up all my hydro stuff. Previously I have fed my soil plants about every other watering. Now I am trying it with every watering, with a little less nutrients per watering of course. I have not noticed a difference, but I am very pleased with the buds I'm getting on my BBxNL. I can't say for sure, but it looks like they are loving it. On the other hand, my AK-47 in the same conditions seems to be yellowing more than usual. They both have just under 2 weeks to go. I see your AKs, and there is practically no yellowing (congrats). I've always had a problem with yellowing on the AKs, so I chalked it up to the variety, but then I see yours and am puzzled.

Perhaps it would help to confuse them if we were to run away more (Monty Python). Your plants look great as usual.

How about some pics opie? And can you give us an idea of the ppms of the nutes you are using....say the ones you did every other watering vs the number you are using for every watering.

So we put both these plants on 1500ppm yesterday......today the number is down to 1470......in less than 24 hours. :wtf:
We'll raise the number again tomorrow as well.

As you can see they pretty much went nuts between the last photos and this one. The only difference these days is more nutes so ...................feel free to extrapolate (:jointsmile from there. :wtf:

The first photo is the Master Kush.....we've switched the buckets because the Brainstorm seemed to be growing much bigger than the MK.......which isn't too shabby either for 15 days! :thumbsup:

And I have had the pleasure of smoking a buddies Strawberry Cough, (wouldn't even SELL me a few beans...grrr) and it was great. Pain relief, great taste, but like the name sake, very lung expanding. For my battered lungs, it was a lil much, rest went to edibles.

Iâ??m kinda ashamed, but there was a reason I was vague on the nutrient amounts. For about the last year I have been eyeballing the nutrients on my dirt plants. Basically when I was feeding about every other watering I was shooting for full strength, meaning what my hydro plants were being fed. For the AKs this was maybe 1400 in veg and 1650 in the latter part of flowering. Iâ??ve been using Supernatural food and perhaps some Liquid Karma, but in bloom their budding food is mixed about half with Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching, depending on how far along they are. For Supernatural, 1.5 teaspoons per 4 liters will make about 1000 PPM. To make it worse, I donâ??t think that was quite enough, since Iâ??ve been more than halving the amount for twice as many feedings as would seem logical.

I havenâ??t noticed a difference really, now that Iâ??m feeding with each watering. This is the first soil grow where Iâ??ve flowered either variety in my real flowering section, under good light. The experiment has mostly been in my mother/youngster area, which of course has always been in the veg stage. The only thing I have to compare to for flowering is hydro plants, which has been very similar, except for the additional yellowing on the AK, which could be for any number of other reasons. For example, I havenâ??t foliar fed once this grow. So basically what Iâ??m saying is all this info Iâ??ve provided is just a waste of time, and Iâ??m sorry. Or not, maybe somebody can get something out of it.
