i was wondering if you'd mind going into more depth regarding the pros and cons of hydroton vs hygromite. i know you use hygromite from some of your posts in others threads, just not clear on why.

Bozo I actually talked about that on this thread but to PONTIFICATE FURTHER :jointsmile: I found that all in all the higromite had much less fert build up issues and the silica in it helped the plants grow better in general.
Edit: But without a doubt the biggest thing that I hated about hydroton were the terrible ph issues and ALL the pretreatment it required (and even THEN there were ph issues....:wtf

It has been in the high 60's to the low-mid 80's lately. The growroom has see a high of about 87 F but only once or twice since March. How about you? How are things in your neck of the woods?
