New Setup - Need Help :)

Hi guys

I have just purchased a grow setup from a friend and wanted to know if it is good enough to get a decent yeild. The setup in;

1m x .8m x .6m growtent lined with mylar
2x 16w 880 lumen "daylight" bulbs
2x 18w 840 lumen "cool white" bulbs
2 large pots filled with perlite with few extra drainage holes made in bottom
1 small fan blowing into the tent via hole in the top

Once the plants hit 3rd or 4th set of leaves i will water 2-3 times a day about 100ml water with canna vega (5ml per litre as it instructs me)

I will be putting the plants on 18/6 until the plants get about 30-40 cm high then i will flower with the same lighting but replaced with all cool white bulbs and probably add 2 more cfls into the tent.

Does anyone think i can improve on this setup/plan (keeping in mind i have about 100$ left to spend)

is this 1m Height x .8m Length x .6m Width?

Really you want to have about 5000 lumens per sqft if possible.

Well im only going to grow 2 plants and the bulbs are horizontal tube bulbs. there is 900 lumens x 4 on each plant, will this be enough, mind you when i say i want decent yeild i mean if i get a half an oz from each i will be happy

also while im at it, is there any particular bulbs i should use during veg/flower, keeping in mind i would like to keep the plants as short as possible :P

Unfortunately it will keep your yield pretty short as well. I'm not sure that little amount of lighting will grow you more than a few grams at best.

wellll.... what would you recommend ? more fluros, different bulbs ?

and you implied you are to be growing in straight perlite?

well im growing 1 in organic soil, 1 in stait vermiculite and 1 in strait perlite. I will be watering the no-soil 2-3 times a day, do you see a problem with this.

Just added 1 more 37w circular clf into the tent

From experience, I would ditch the vermiculite, and grow in a mix of the organic soil and the perlite... 80/20 or 70/30, 60/40, just more soil than perlite.

I found it hard to keep anything alive in pure vermiculite by just hand watering a few times daily, I think you would have to have a hydro set up to grow in straight vermiculite..

Good job on the new CFL. You are now around 6000 lumens, correct? This will get you by vegging your 3 plants. One or two may be male, leaving you with 1 or two plants to flower. 6000 lumens may be a bit shy to flower 2 plants, unless they were both kept small and flowered early. Either way, you prolly will not yield more than ounce with 6000 lumens.

This cool dude in this here linky http://boards.cannabis.com/closet-ca...ml#post1821825 got an oz with 70 watts of CFL, which is about where you are at. If you are cool with an o, cool. If not, just shoot for 10,000 lumens for flowering, I think that is a reasonable goal.

Thanks for the advice fellow :P im gonna swap the vermiculite for soil and perlite soon.

2 of the seedlings (soil and vermiculite) have popped out of the ground. Im thinking the temp is a bit high at the moment (85 with tent open, 95 with tent closed) The temp drops down when the lights are off at night. Is this a bit to high ?

All i have in the way of air is a little desk fan inside blowing air arond, when i have the lights on i leave some of the tent open to let the hot air out.
