    advice please first-timer

    hi there...
i`m gonna try my first time outdoor crop. please help me with some details and tips .
i`m planing to plant my plants in pots placed in a terrace.
i live middle east( latitude 31° 57' ). i was woundering for the best time (and the minimum pot volume in liters)to plant my plants in. so they grow un-detected between 90-150cm .
can i plant my plants in peat moss only or peatmoss/compt manure mixture only?or any other easy to get components?
i bought some peatmoss and some composted manure.i cant find here any good soils or ferts all that is available is local-made which lacks the on-bag info and specialities mentioned here or in the growing books:wtf:, plz tell me some notes on germinating, transplanting, pot size, and soil mixtures.
please reply soon i feel i`m runing out of time (not to mention weed )

    thx man...
so do u advice on using perlite, compt manure and peatmoss or just manure and perlite? okay does that mean that i dont need soil....?and whats the size of the pots should i use? (in litres plz ..i dont know wether a gallon is 3.75Lor 4.5L:stoned either way what is the % of perlite/peatmoss/manure should i use? (please specify if the % in wieght or volume)
    thx again for replying man
i have about 50kg of composted manure and 50L peatmoss bag . i think i better look for the perlite thing...

i would not worry about the peatmoss.
compost manure and perlite will be great, if you can find some earth worm castings, humus or regular top soil to mix in that would be great also, i would mix the compost manure at about 70% and perlite at about 30%(you will always want atleast 30% perlite or something comperable to aerating the soil. depending on how much you have depends on how much you water, more=more water, more=healthier well drained roots). if you can find the extra ewc or humus i would add at equal amounts to the compost manure and still have atleast 30% of the mix perlite. you need about 3.75L per foot of plant. growing outdoors in the mid east i would think you should look more into sativas with the hot maybe humid air. indica type plants grow more compact dense buds that are more prone to disease in those conditions.

    thx texas ..
when u said 70% manure 30%perlite is that wieght or volume ...and what shall i do whith that 50L of peatmoss .?
is there any alternatives for the perlite bought or aquired?
i`ve heard about adding small pea sized stones, human hair ...etc does that help.
i think i`m gonna use the peatmoss for seedlings and germinating
