Ya, i'm pretty much on the same page now... and also, i went to try to buy some blue cfls... but the highest wattage i found at home depot was like 23 watts/ 1300 lumens... where can i get more wattage lights?

Grow shops or online.

Really cfl's start to get inefficient after 42 watts I think. Plus bigger wattage lights make more heat than a bunch of smaller lights I think.

I'd just buy 2-3 4 packs of the 23 watt bulbs.

okay thanks for your input.. also can anyone tell me if this is a good system? its not to bad on price, how would this work for growing.. and if i bought this, what other things would i have to buy? or is a fan pretty much all i would need?

I have that exact same ballast and bulb. It works great.

I'm using it in a 6'x3'x3' area. I have a box fan for an intake and a box fan for an exhaust. With my outside room temperature at 75 the tops of the canopy will stay at about 78 with the light 8-10" away.
