    Sorry, sometimes I don't, um, explain things real well. The bass and treble staffs are continuous, with middle C in between. The clef symbols are there to show you where you're at within the various lines & spaces more easily.

    The bass clef does make a cool avatar. Hope this doesn't seem intrusive, I'm all 1/64th notes tonight.

    uhhhh i think the clef are 2 different like.......series of notes......or like different...damn i forget the word....but like diff instruments use either the bass clef or treble clef

    Like 4252 said, the treble clef indicates G above middle-C, and if you look closely enough, you'll noticed that the treble clef is in fact the letter G, but all fancied-up. Same thing with the Bass Clef, it indicates the F below middle-C, and it's also a fancified F.

    Damn, I never realized the G clef was actually a letter G, thanks. Knew the F clef was an F; just look at the "F" in Fender. Should have figured this one out on my own, I guess; talk about overlooking the obvious.
