Second Time, Very FrustratinG!!!!
Once they've sprouted (if from seeds) and set up roots, they can be transplanted into their future home. A month is a long time to leave them in there; they'll grow fast in that system and will need nutrients to boot. General Hydroponics' nutrient solutions reccoment 6 full teaspoons per gallon! My guess is that your plants were starving to death.
