The Second Battle of NAFTA
back in the day i voted for ross perot, anyone remember him?, and the reason that i voted for him was simple. he was the only canidate that opposed NAFTA. he said way back then that itwas not a good thing to hav and would hurt the US in the long run. i will agree that NAFTA looks good on paper but the reality of it isnt so great. i lived in OH most of my life and now live in LA why is this? because there are no jobs in OH. you used to be able to go t work in any number of GM plants and factorys or machine shops that paid rather nicely. i was machinist for a while till i got laid off, thats whaen i became a professinal mechanic. why did i get laid off. because my job went to Mexico.my fatherinlaw got laid off because his job went to Mexico. many of my freinds lost there jobs wich again went to Mexico. now there are jobs you can take in OH but they dont pay the bills. now im no lover of the unions but when a man loses his job that was payin some where in the neiborhood of $65,000 a year and has to go to work at walmart for $25,000 a year it hurts not only his family but the entire state. there a many reasons for why the housing market is in the shape its in and i do tend to blame banks and lenders the most but this NAFTA sure didnt help things much

The Second Battle of NAFTA
oh one more thing just a litle fact
have a freind who works in TX, his job actually take him to mexico where he has mexicans workin for him. they have a mcdonalds not far from here they works. the costof a cheese burger in mexico is te same as the price of a cheese burger here i the states. these mexican workers have to save money to go to mcdonalds. a meal there costs them almost a weeks salary.
